I help capable, driven people connect with their brilliance, helping them to feel comfortable with who they are, so they can do and be the things they want and enjoy life to the full.
How I coach
Here is how it works, you’ll meet with me, one-to-one, each week for an hour and a half and we’ll chat about what’s on your mind. I’ll ask you some questions , you might ponder a bit… maybe explore how you feel. I might show you a technique or two you can use. You might go away and reflect on things for a week and come back the next week with new insights. See it’s all quite painless.
Once you’ve worked out what it is you want, then you get to work out how you’ll make that happen. And no matter how unachievable it might first seem, where there’s a will, there’s a way.
I won’t give you advice, or tell you what to do (sorry), because only you have the answers you need – what you’re looking for is inside you. We won’t dwell too long on the negatives, we focus on how you move forward to achieving your desired outcomes.
Catkin Coaching uses NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) within the coaching framework to help you achieve your goals. You can read more about that in a minute.
How coaching helps
Unlike almost every other moment in your life, coaching gives you an opportunity to talk and think about you, without interruption. You don’t have to ask me how I am, or worry about what I think, because the session is your space, your time to focus on you. That’s a powerful thing.
Coaching gives you the space to answer those big questions you may have – who do I want to be? What do I want to change? What would I do if I didn’t care what people thought? Why was I born? (alright, maybe not that last one).
You’ll learn how to see things from new perspectives, to step back and see yourself in new ways – ways that will help you feel good about yourself, ways that can help you believe in yourself more.
Coaching gives you a map with a big X that marks your treasure, so you can work out which way you need to go to get there. And it provides you with me, a friendly and encouraging support, to listen to and bounce ideas around with, to help you figure how you’re going to get there.
You get to rediscover yourself, to redefine yourself, to rebuild yourself so you can live your dreams.

NLP was created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970s. NLP is not a therapy but is developed from therapeutic foundations.
